Mark Skrien, MA, LP, Clinical Director

Mark obtained his undergraduate degree from Concordia College, Moorhead, MN in 1975 and his graduate degree from Azusa Pacific University, Azusa, CA in 1980.  Mark worked as a High School Science teacher with St. Cloud Tech from 1975-1980, a Counselor with the Personal Growth Center in Detroit Lakes, MN from 1980-1983.  He begain working with HRC in 1983.

Mark's areas of specific clinical interests includes couple's therapy, domestic abuse/anger management, and Employee Assistance Programs. Mark works with adolescents, adults, couples and families at the Owatonna office.

Sandi Guggisberg, MS, LMFT

Sandi is Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and has worked at HRC since 1994. She obtained her Undergraduate Degree from Mankato State University in 1972 and her Licensed Practical Nurse degree from Mankato Technical College in 1985.  She obtained her graduate degree from Mankato State University in 1993. She has worked as a Children's Mental Health Case Manager for Waseca County, an In-Home Family Therapist, and the Coordinator/Therapist of the Waseca County Off Campus Program (WCOC).

Sandi's areas of specific clinical interest includes domestic violence, Borderline Personality Disorder, parenting and sexuality. She works with children, adolescents, adults, couples and families at the Owatonna and Kasson offices.

Mary Jacobsen, MSSW, LICSW

Mary has a small caseload of clients at HRC that are covered by Medicare and Medical Assistance. She is also the Administrator of the Owatonna Hospital's Mental Health Unit.

Gene Johnson, Psy.D.

Gene has worked as a Psychologist for HRC since 2006. He obtained his undergraduate degree from the University of Minnesota - College of Liberal Arts in 1972. He obtained his graduate degree from the University of Minnesota - Carlson School of Business in 1976. He obtained his Doctor of Psychology degree from Argosy University, Twin Cities in 2006. Gene worked at the Scott County Mental Health Center, the Minnesota Veteran's Home, and Abbott Northwestern Hospital Behavioral Health.

Gene's areas of specific clinical interests includes Depression, Anxiety, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) , psychological assessment and seriously mentally ill. He works with children, adolescents, adults and couples at the Owatonna office.

Joann Rietveld, APRN - BS

Joie is a Clinical Specialist in Adult Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing. She received her Nurses training through Austin Community College, Mankato State University and St. Teresa's University - Winona, MN. She obtained her Masters Degree from Vanderbilt University School of Nursing in Nashville,TN in 1991. Her professional experience includes working at the Pella Hospital, Pella IA; Naeve Hospital, Albert Lea, MN; Fountain Lake Treatment Center, Albert Lea, MN; and the Owatonna Hospital, Owatonna, MN.

Joie's work chiefly involves medication management and psychiatric evaluations. She sees adult patients at the Owatonna office.

Dr. Tverberg, or "Dr. T." as he is known, provides general psychiatry, psychiatric evaluation and diagnosis and pscyhopharmacology. Dr. T. completed his training at Washington University School of Medicine. He is the former Clinical Director at St. Peter Regional Treatment Center.  He is also a Consulting Psychiatrist at the Owatonna Hospital's Mental Health Unit.

Dr. T. sees adult patients at the Owatonna office.

Debra Van Cleave, DO

Dr. Van Cleave joined HRC in April 2003. She is a full-time Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist. She graduated from the University of Osteopathic Medicine and Health Services in Des Moines, IA. She completed residencies at North Carolina Baptist Hospital in Winston-Salem, NC and at the University of South Dakota School of Medicine in Sioux Falls, SD. She also worked at Avera McKennan Hospital also in Sioux Falls in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.

She has a clinical interest in the diagnosis and treatment of Attention Deficit, Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).

Dr. Van Cleave sees children and adolescent patients at the Owatonna office.

Joseph Wilson, MD

Dr. Wilson's practice includes general psychiatry, psychiatric evaluation and diagnosis and psychopharmacology. Dr. Wilson received his post-graduate training at the Naval Hospital in San Diego, CA and served as a staff psychiatrist at the Naval Hospital at Camp Lejeune in North Carolina. He has been with HRC for 17 years, and prior to that, 7 years experience as a psychiatrist with the US Navy.

Dr. Wilson is also the Medical Director of the Owatonna Hospital's Mental Health Unit.

Dr. Wilson sees adult patients at the Owatonna office.
